What better to receive this holiday season than a bunch of seeds for the veggie, herb, and flower gardens as we head into 2020?
Well, our family and Joey’s family over at Burning Hearth Homestead are going to make that happen for two wonderful followers!
First, we’re going to go over what’s included, a little about Burning Hearth Homestead and WHY we’re doing this, and then you’ll find the rules and how to participate at the bottom.

Joey and I are collaborating on this project, bringing together our personal seed collections to produce a variety of must-have, unique, rare, or medicinal garden seeds. This list will change, so stay tuned:

Burning Hearth Homestead: Who They Are, and What They Do
Joey, over at Burning Hearth Homestead in Ohio, operates a truly wonderful organization. They are incredibly passionate about permaculture and spreading their love of gardening in its various forms. In addition, they offer free seeds and plants to those who are in need or are interested, while happily guiding those who need a helping hand in getting started. They truly want to see the world around us change, one seed at a time; they’re attempting to ignite a passion for gardening in every person that crosses their path.
That’s nothing short of an amazing act of kindness.
Joey reached out to me when I initially announced the seed giveaway, and I was beyond excited to have Burning Hearth Homestead jump on the bandwagon. They wanted to add to the collection of seeds, helping me to offer even more to the lucky followers who receive them. Together, we want to provide two people with a bounty of seeds, many of which have been collected from our own gardens.
For those of you that are here, consider sending a donation out to them; they’d love to add a greenhouse to their organization, and all of us know that doesn’t come cheap. Dollar by dollar, we can help get them there! This is a direct link to their website:
I support any incredible cause, especially one that can provide plants, seeds, fruit trees, and more to people who might normally be unable to afford it, such as those who are:
- Living on disability or SSI
- Elderly/retired, on a limited income
- Young single parents
- Kids and teens who live below the poverty line
- Volunteers who are building community gardens

How Winners Will Be Chosen:
On December 27th, 2019, two winners will be chosen at random.
- QUALIFYING Comments on the qualifying Facebook post will be numbered from oldest to newest, and a random number will be generated with Random.Org.
- QUALIFYING Instagram posts using the hashtag #homesteaderseedgiveaway will be numbered from oldest to newest, and a random number will be generated with Random.Org.
